A song at the Norman Petty Studio in Clovis, New Mexico.
Last November I visited the Norman Petty Recording Studio in Clovis, New Mexico. This is the place where Buddy recorded so many of his greatest songs. I'm standing on the spot where Buddy stood when he recorded hits like That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue and Maybe Baby. It was a great thrill for me. In fact, I think the excitement/adrenalin caused me to play the song a little fast. I was shown around the studio by the owner/curator of the studio, Keith Broad ...the nicest man you could ever hope to meet. He was a close friend and business associate of Norman and Vi Petty.
